If offered again definitely think going on this itinerary. Lots of long sea days, but the
ports were something you don't find on the average cruise.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Not ready for the crowds, had to stand in line 3 hours in the heat and sun. No water or juice offered. No consideration for the age of most of the travelers or those traveling with small children.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Menu was varied, but boring after awhile. It was a long cruise so we did try a variety of food.
Dessert cakes at lunch were a hit! Service was ok.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Naturalist lectures were interesting. Internet electronics lectures were also interesting.
Crafts available as well as trivia 3 times a day, but this dropped off toward the end of the cruise. 3 nice pools and a waterslide, as well as miniature golf.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Stage shows were pretty good, mentalist a bore, jugglers so so.
Children's Programs
Not traveling with children
Service and Staff

Adi, our room steward was excellent and very friendly.Dining room staff friendly, but a little slow.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Heading to drydock to get a much needed refurbishment. Some areas were a little dated and shabby. Carpeting getting replaced during the cruise. The smell from this affected some people.
Cabin / Stateroom

Larger than expected, enough storage for everything. Even bathroom was larger than expected. It was on an inside passage, so quiet and not many people walking past which was nice.
Did the Pearl Harbor Visitor's Center and Missouri tour. Interesting, but we had a very hot day. I personally did not go into the lower part of the ship, too hot. I did walk around in the air conditioned officer's quarters though.
Our excursion went to the local zoo, which was quite nice. Their selection of souvenirs could be improved. The animals are in nice enclosures and there is adequate shade provided for them and visitors. Water available on the bus.
Drove 2 hours to visit the whale temple and native village. Interesting sites to see, and native foods to try. Lunch was exceptional at a coastal hotel.
Carnival must thought it was a good idea to make guests wait in the hot sun before boarding. Who knew people would complain about that.... Obviously there was some problem Carnival couldn't control. But if they didn't tell you what was going on then shame on them.
