Review summary

At 24 days this was the longest cruise Carnival has ever done. There were many firsts and it was enjoyable to experience all the first with the crew.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was as good as could be expected with over 1000 diamond and platinum priority boarders

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
For a cruise this length there was very few repeated menus. The selection was great and the specialty dining did not disappoint.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was actually more things to do on board each day then time allowed. From trivia games, multiple forms of entertainment.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great variety from classical music to rock and roll. The stage shows were awesome.

Children's Programs

We had no kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service personnel were pleasant and attentive. They catered to our every need.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ships design was good. The Pink Lady is a little old but she is now in dry dock and being refreshed.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The wrap around balcony was exceptional. Unfortunately we had to sacrifice couch for the balcony space but all in all a great trade off.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion but did spend the night before the cruise on the Queen Mary and met some our fellow cruisers.

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
We did a Luau excursion at

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
The Polynesian Cultural Center excursion is worth the money

Cross International Dateline

5 out of 5
Got a nice certificate from the cruise line. Unfortunately it was dark when we crossed and I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the line in the ocean.

Guam, Mariana Islands

5 out of 5
Did the Fort Soleida and Point Gunn tour. Our tour guide gave us an extensive historical perspective of the island's history.

Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

5 out of 5
The Traditional Borneo tour was great for someone who wants an overview of the country. Our tour guide was exceptional in his knowledge of the country.

Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam

5 out of 5
Did the Cho Chi Tunnel excursion. Very informative as well for those interested in Vietnam War history. Crawling through the tunnels was quite interesting but you need to be physically fit.

Singapore

5 out of 5
Did a post embarkation excursion though the cruise line that was informative and allowed us to see the highlights of the city. Spent the night and enjoyed walking the city prior to leaving the next day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy peasy, one of the best foreign port embarkations so far.
