If I cruise this one again I will not get a balcony because it was very windy out at night. Could not enjoy the balcony. Wasted my money.

This was the best port for embarkation I have ever been to. No lines and very fast. We were on the ship in 10 min. We also had Fttf and dint get our luggage until 6pm. The slowest that we have ever had.

Food was really good overall. It was a lot better than our last 3 cruises on carnival. MDR was just ok, but the buffet was great and the room service food was delicious. Oh yea. Let's not forget that ice cream!!
Onboard Activities

The pools had cosmetic issues all away around it. The tile was broken in a lot of places. Not safe for the kiddos. We did like the miniature golf. That was fun.
Entertainment

They need to work on the DJ music at the main pool. There were a lot of dead time where they wasn't playing and music. I asked someone to find out why they wasnt playing a playlist of some sort because this is suppose to be a fun ship. The musicians was very bad. They put some guy that played slow go to sleep.music in the casino a lot. He was bad. The stage shows were really good. They were funny and kept my attention. I love the guy chipping away at the blocked ice. He made an Indian head out of it.
Children's Programs

They put my 13 year old in the little kids section. Candy land and playdo doesn't do it for my teenager. She didn't attend any of them.
Service and Staff

Ronald was our room steward and he was great. He remembered all 3 of our names and he took very good care of our room. Our room lost a/c for one night and they ran out of fans. It was fixed in the middle of the night though. The MDR waiter staff were very polite and friendly.
Ship Quality

This ship was very easy to learn how to get around. Very easy to get to everywhere you wanted to. The ship was very clean, they even had staff painting while we were walking around. The ship is showing her age with a little ware and tare but very clean ship. She drydock is this December I was told for a month.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very clean cabin. Everything was as it should. The A/C was down for one night but fixed while we were a sleep.

Very windy if your on a balcony coming back to long beach. Bring a pair of Jeans.
Beautiful port. Stayed at the Best Western Hotel. They took us to the ship the next morning. Go down to the Shoreline Village. We are dinner down there and it was really good. They have shops and restaurants there. It's a beautiful place and we really felt safe there. We were there during daylight hours. Uber picked us up.took us to a store to pickup our 12 pack cans of soda then back to the hotel.
Took a water taxi around to see lands end were the Arch is then they drop us off at miranda beach then they picked us up at 4pm back to the ship. Cost was $15 each. It was fun. While on the beach we at at the Office. Book reservations online before you go. They fill up fast. Very good food. WARNING. While eating there the peddlers were all over the place trying to sell you things. They were all over the place and that was bad. Every min while we were eating we were telling them no thank you. We hurried up and ate then left and went to Billigans were they had loung chairs and that place has a guard and it was roped off so the peddlers couldn't get close to us. We enjoyed it there and had as great time. FYI. We were there in mi DC July and the water in the ocean was ICE cold.
My favorite port of all 3. Got off the ship and in the port area there are guys coming up to you trying to give you a city tour. First guy said $90 total and we said no thanks. Went around the corner in the port area and the next guy said $60 for 4 hours and we took it. Luis Zuniga was our driver in the open air taxi and had was the best. He loved his country and took us everywhere. In no hurry and no pressure. He took us to see all the highlights and took our family pics for us. Took us to lunch on the beach at La Costa Marinera. The best on the beach with great food. He waited for us outside. Then he took us shopping to the Golden Zone. Nice place to shop at.
Went shopping across from the port. They have a Walmart there and a shopping mall. The shopping mall is nice and big. They even have a Starbucks there. Lol. Yep we went there. It was good. Went back to ship to put up shopping items then it started to rain hard so we stayed at ship and enjoyed the pool area on the Lido.
Fast and easy. We were off the ship in 15 to 20 min when we were in line. We had FTTF buy missed the 830 time so we just got in line with other people. No big deal. Went smoothly.
Nice review, thanks. We love the balcony especially at night while sleeping. Open the door as far as it will go and love the night air and the sound of the ocean. Sometimes even see the moon. Love it.
