Review summary
We really enjoyed our cruise on the beautiful Carnival Splendor November 3rd to the 10th. I'll start by giving a shout to the housekeeping staff! They were amazing, for my wife's birthday we were watching the sunrise in 10 Forward and as we pulled into Cabo San Lucas they came out with balloons and sang Happy Birthday to her while we were on the deck. Our wait staff in the MDR was super awesome as well. The Pinnacle staff, the fun shop staff were very engaged and seemed to really enjoy their job. The excursions were awesome. In Cabo San Lucas we did the camel adventure which was amazing, we learned so much about these beautiful beasts, the backdrop of riding them on the shoreline was awesome. The nature walk, the Mexican buffet and the tequila tasting was a nice touch to end the excursion. After the excursion there was plenty of time to go visit Cabo Wabo Cantina and have a few drinks there. In Mazatlan we started off the day by taking a taxi on our own to watch the cliff diving and to see a little of downtown as well the beautiful cathedral there, so much wonderful history I wish we had more time. After a couple of hours we came back to the ship to get on our excursion to Stone Island and our all-inclusive resort stay. We really loved the service, the food and all the drinks that they had to offer but mostly the beach view and the water was awesome, I'd really like to come back and visit all the things we missed. The next day in Puerto Vallarta we took our catamaran excursion to Los Arcos, Mahajuitas and Yelapa, the best Excursion on our cruise. Our catamaran took us through Banderas Bay to visit Los Arcos and learn about the formations that were made there and then we sailed to Mahajuitas where we enjoyed some of the best snorkling I've had and some of the most beautiful beaches I've seen since Palawan, again we hopped on our catamaran and left for your Yelapa this time, a small town only accessible by boat because of the terrain. We got off the catamaran and hiked about 20 minutes through the town and reached the waterfalls which were magnificent and got a chance to bathe in the beautifully cool water. Afterwards we hiked back down and enjoyed some much needed beach time as well as some of the best coconut shrimp I've ever had! 😊 It was the smoothest ride of any ship we've taken yet. Every morning was a picture perfect Sunrise every sunset was a picture perfect sunset. Just can't ask for anything better!Embarkation
