Review summary

Nice cruise, but I have honestly been on much nicer ships with better, more accessible food. Not sure I would use Carnival again now that I have sailed with a number of cruise lines.

Food in dining room was ok. Burger bar had limited hours, which we found strange.

Onboard Activities

Movies needed an indoor location to be shown too. We could never get a seat on the deck. Most events seemed to be about spending money. Shows were great. Tinder process at ports without a dock was a disaster.....very disorganized and hard to get off the ship.

Thalassotherapy Pool

It was broken down a lot and the seating in it is so strange. It made it hard for a number of people to be in it at once.

Size and cleanliness were fine. Access to the balcony was a small door. There was a window looking out to the balcony. I prefer a sliding glass door so if I was to keep it open to hear the ocean, I can.

I didn’t realize splendor is being replaced by panorama. I’ll be on splendor December 15, 2019 I’ve already booked panorama December2020 and can’t wait.

The ship will be heading to Australia soon and a new ship will be making Long Beach it’s new home. It’s called the Panorama. I think the first sailing will be in Dec 2019.

You should of done your research before booking the Splendor she is going to Long Beach to Singapore in Oct 19 for a month long refit then heading to Sydney Australia to stay .. if you wanted a newer ship there is plenty of newer ships and plenty of companies to choose from including carnival so why choose a ship that is older and is due for a refit ? You can do all the research you want before you book then it's your choice .. happy sailing whoever you choose to sail with...
