Review summary

This was our first cruise. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary as well as my wife’s 50th birthday. I felt very pampered, very relaxed and really enjoyed our trip. Weill are already planning our next cruise. Thank you, Carnival and the Crew of the Splendor.

Embarkation

Although there were several hundred people trying to do the same thing, Carnival did a great job getting everyone checked in and going with very little effort on our part.

Very polite, very helpful very caring. I felt as if I was the only one that mattered to them at the time. So pampered.

Ship Quality

The layout of the ship (once I figured it out) was well thought out. Our stateroom steward Joseph and his assistant were so awesome. They learned our names quickly and called us by our name. They took care of our every need. Kept our room spotless even when we left it a mess. Anything I needed, I just asked, and they took care of it. The custodial staff of the ship were wonderful as well. It was as if my grandma was the one cleaning.

I wish we had more time at this port. Our tour guide and bus driver were great. I felt very rushed at this port.

We did a boat tour of the harbor and our tour guide Alex was really knowledgeable of the topics that came up.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Pepe’ our tour guide on this excursion was so hilarious. He would make jokes, do question and guess (answer) things between stops and at the different tequila factories we visited. He made it a lot of fun. Our bus driver was an extremely well trained driver with really good knowledge of his bus as well as the roads he was driving on. This by far was my favorite port of call.
