Review summary

For this being my first cruise I was not very impressed. It was nice to see 3 different cities but they were on 3 straight days and the cruise back home was almost unbearable since we were on the boat for 2 straight days. The on board entertainment was mediocre at best. The best time was the comedians at night and a few other little activities the fun squad put on.

My room steward was very good and nice.

The ship was very clean but it was like I stepped back into the early 1990's. The decor was completely out dated.

Ship tip

Do not get a room in the middle of the ship, it was constantly noisy and the room was extremely cold all the time the heater did not work.

It was kind of neat to take a porter to the docks but once you got on the deck we were overwhelmed with people asking us if we wanted to do an excursion. It was not very relaxing at all.

The dock was nice, easy to get off of. The area that the little shops were in was the nicest and most pleasant. We did not go too far on this day since it was hot and we and we did not want to take a taxi not knowing exactly how much we were going to get charged.

This was the best day and my favorite place. We did our only excursion, we went ziplining which was a lot of fun. If you need cheaper souvenirs there is a walmart across from the dock and they have a currency exchange person/station in there.

We love to cruise and wish we had more ports on the West Coast but had to learn to like the sea days after all the hustle of port days

Love sea days they are the best. Two sea days back home are almost always bad weather.

Sounds like cruising might not be for you. At least you had Some fun and found out for yourself what cruise life is. Perhaps one of the big ships would stimulate your more? Try an Oasis class before abandoning the whole thing!

Not understanding how you didn't see ship leaving dock? You just had to go out on the deck and you would see everything. Sea days are the best in my opinion.

I just got off this same cruise. We had a blast...there so much to-do on the ship. You have to look at your fun list sheet or download the carnival hub....this was my four cruise and was the best one. We took oldest grandson and he had a blast If you go on another cruise try and do some research so you'll enjoy it nest time..sorry you had a bad experience.

FYI , you’ll be at muster every time your ship sails off for the first time . You can watch port departure on the rest of your cruise . Play close attention in the future to itinerary . There are cruises that are different ports daily and others with alternating sea and port days
