Review summary

Carnival did offer another cruise 100% comparable to what we spent so not all was lost and they did honor the credit which was already applied to a future trip and booked; we are super excited😉😬

Embarkation

Very simple!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Breakfast was by far the best. Food sometimes was cold but I blame that on the plates. We only ate at our assigned table once and there was a mix up on assignments because another family approached our table while we were sitting at it accusing us of sitting at their table. Turned out both our family and their family had the same assigned number but was not a big enough table to accommodate both parties.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
So much to do and was very thankful for the amt of activities there was available to accommodate 5 at sea days! Didn’t utilize a lot of the amenities and got much needed rest but there is plenty to do!

Ship Quality

The crew members are hard workers and always saw someone cleaning or polishing something.

Ship tip

A little difficult to navigate at first and got turned around a few times so keep your Hub app on, it was very helpful!! WiFi is terribly slow but understand with that many people all using it will slow it up so not really worth the expense of the WiFi package. Bought the bubbles pkg but looking back now my family and I did not use it nearly enough. There is plenty to drink at the buffets unless you are big soda drinkers-drinks are not free when you do sit down dining unless you have pkg, then it’s deducted/adjusted from sail and sign acct. next cruise I will take the allowed amt per person of soft drinks . Having bottle water ordered ahead of time and delivered to room on arrival is very helpful and cheaper too! Water on ship is really good too!

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Disappointed there was not enough parking- they did have us park in over flow parking near Queen Mary however, but not without some frustration. We did have faster to the fun but missed the time to board due to the parking situation, so it pushed us to board with others at peak times.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Did not visit port

Had to turn around sometime in the middle of he night for a medical emergency so we lost an entire day. Then Hurricane Bud came out of nowhere literally!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Did not visit port

All ports of call not visited due to Hurricane turned tropical storm but understand. Ports visited were San Diego and Ensenada and we made the best of both.
