Review summary

Wonderful cruise and had a great time. I wish the security could patrol the cabin hallways and monitor the passengers more closely (especially at night) as quite a few passenger were sooo drunk and disorderly. I do not like this at all, especially since I paid my hard earned money to relax and have a good time. I felt like I had to silently suffer from other people not knowing their limits and no one keeping them in check. It is seriously making me consider trading up to a more expensive cruise line just to get away from this type of behavior.

The dining room food is superb! Great wait staff and wonderful food and drink. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Only reason for 4 stars is because we had a booth and the booth is really only comfortable for 2 people but on the 4th night 2 people showed up and we asked to be seated for a table for 2 which they happily accommodated us. It would have been more comfortable had the table had chairs for 4 and not try stuffing 4 people in a small booth.

We had a great cabin but the neighbors directly behind the bed were drunk and obnoxiously loud every single day and night. The people directly above our room were sooo loud with profanity and smoking cigarettes and marijuana from the balcony and tossing the ashes over their balcony that we had no choice but to call security which they came right away. It stopped until the last night as they just did not care since we were about to leave the ship in a few hours.

Ship tip

Sail the Splendor and spend the extra for the balcony as we have done twice now. I highly recommend this as it is so worth it! I just wish people were more considerate of there neighbors is all! Nothing against Carnival Splendor though!

Very easy! Make sure you take your luggage off as you are the first to leave. If you leave in at night for the crew to unload for you, then you are the last to leave the ship. But t all goes quickly and efficiently!

Perhaps what we need to remember is that Km1613 did rate the cruise as a 5 star. Different people may choose to do different things while cruising. Maybe we all need to agree to disagree on Kim's observation on the drinkers. Different strokes for different folks. I just enjoy so much seeing different people, countries, scenery, etc. Hope you all have awesome cruises coming up. 🤗

so if they spend their money they should spend their vaca the way u would want them too? I disagree ppl should spend their time anyway they want and if they choose not to remember it then that's up to them. But what I'm hearing is that they should have their own ship to get drunk on, but i must remember Carnival is known as a party ship. Let ppl live the way they want. U guys r to judgemental and if I recall correctly only one person can judge and u guys aren't him.

Cruiser for life, you really think the only two options are get so drunk you do not remember your vacation or sit in your cabin? The point is when you are that drunk you are doing harm to other people and yourself. Cruisers should not have to put up with belligerent drunks! They do ruin other people's vacations!

ppl r allowed to have their vaca any way they want to, nobody tell u to to b stuffy and do nothing but sit in ur room, they paid their money like u did so if they want to get drunk and not remember what happened then that is on them u njoy urself don't worry about others unless they r harming u r themselves.

It is not ok for people to become so drunk they ruin other people's vacations. The ships should have a drunk tank for those that become belligerent and offensive. It can also be very dangerous when people over drink. People have died on cruises from alcohol poisoning.

This not only happens on Carnival. I also experienced out of control drunks on Royal during my first two cruises. It can happen anywhere you go on vacation where there is alcohol served whether it is a cruise or land vacation.

I just made an observation about the drinking people, it wasn't a judgement. I worked in a high stress environment (a busy hospital ER) and I get needing to de-stress. When I pay so much money to travel, I just want to remember and enjoy every part of it. That's all. 😃

ppl will complain about any and everything they not happy with the way other ppl live they paid their money just as u did put ur ear phones in turn up ur music close the door do what u have to do to have a good time don't judge others.

Find another cruise line, we get much order we won't want to be on Carnival's party boat but for now we consider the drunks entertainment as well.

I have been cruising for long time. The service on cruise lines declined. The cruises are less expensive today than 20 or 10 yrs ago. In my opinion the cruise lines offer drink packages for a reason ....If you are drunk or have more than you do at home things look better and people don't notice the decline in service, food quality, etc. they are just happy.

I can understand letting loose and having a few drinks. I can understand getting tipsy or "a little bit drunk". I do that at times. But to get that drunk is nuts. I know people plan to overdrink. I know of some people who brought their bottles of wine, pre ordered a couple of bottles of liquor to their room and got the drink package with every intention of drinking all of the 15 drinks. I don't get it. I want to remember my vacation!

it's not sad. it's just how they choose to spend their vacay. I'm not that guy.... but I don't judge those who are like that. maybe they have a high stress job and just don't want to deal with reality. #LETM'PARTY

We've seen people before who were drunk on the airplane heading down to board the ship, drunk the entire cruise, and drunk on the plane heading back home. Sad, just sad.
