see above. we covered each area in depth…..we are probably done with carnival as they have gone too ar downhill to make it back up without a major effort..unfortunately it appears that the effort is becoming less rather than more

BETTER THAN THE LAST TIME TWO YEARS AGO…STILL LTOS OF CINFUSION AND CARNIVAL CHECK IN PEOPLE BEING RUDE AND UNCARING
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
FOOD IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM HAS SHOWN A DISTINCT DROP IN QUA;ITY. Only stark offered except the steak wellington one night was a skirt steak that was tough and not tasty at all. The baked alaska is gone and lobster only one night instead of two. We tried multiple desserts each night and sadly never had one that was of any quality ….all tasted canned , frozen, or fake…
the wait staff in the main dining room was excellent.
THE HEAD WAITER " AJIITH " was by far one of the best waiters we've ever experienced in our lives…this man is a credit to your company…
the food in the buffet was generally subpar and after a few days tasted like dumpster diving…
the pizzas were excellent..
the hot dog/hanburger grill was excellent
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
not much to do for either of our kids nor us…bingo was the most fun we had..the shows were terrible with the same 8 inexperienced performers having to try to make the poorly scripted and choreographed shows into something but never succeeded..we see better at our kids school…
we've been on many cruises both with carnival and others and this represented a new low.
the childish antics on board have gotten old and stale and downright silly except for possibly a young adult who missed their teenage years..my teenage daughter was quickly bored and called most of the antics " pathetic".
the children's programs were almost non existent which is fine…
in the end ..unless one was trine to get drunk and act stupid there was little of interest..
one more thing…the constant loud music wherever you go on the ship was aggravating after a day..even my kids couldn't stand it anymore after a couple days…
it's a cruise folks..it's ok top relax and be quiet once a day or so….no one really wants to be a t a 24/7 party…gets old to any one..

Service and Staff

except for our wait staff in the main dining room as noted above being excellent the rest of the staff was bored, aggravated, overworked disinterested, or downright rude.
when all of the tours were sold out we asked one young lady at the tour window where a good place to snorkel offshore ight be she said book a cruise..i can;t tell you..i told her she just told me all the tours for snorkeling were sold out and she said..next time book early…i asked again if she knew of anywhere to go snorkel offshore and she became rude and said i good you i cash;t tell you...
Ship Quality

i miss being able to walk around the ship in it's entirety but i suppose security has become much more of a topic so i understand
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
some areas not cleaned well before boarding…there was a cheez cracker on our balcony for several days and never picked up as well as some other areas of dirt never addressed but overall it was ok
Ship tip
not a good ship…refurbished but not up to current standards …overworked and stressed crew members have all but obliterated the cruise experience of even 5-10 years ago…
we do appreciate the basic end to formal nights as they were…they all get to be rather silly after a while too...
Yep jus had our 16 th cruise and not had a bad cruise yet ... some people are just not cut out for cruising !! And we're is your review book the queen Mary next time it may be more to your taste....ð¥
