Review summary

I have always booked through Carnival but this time I thought I was getting a great deal through because I was going to get double of on board credits which would have been $150. I filled the paperwork and had spoken to a rep the day vefore to confirm credits and all was ok so I get on the ship and something told me to go check at guest services so I get there and no on board credit was applied so I called and after 1 hour really... I get a rep and says they will take care of it by 9pm I go next day and NOTHING still I call again I speak to a rep they also spoke to a guest service rep from the ship and they saI'd they were going to send email to fix it and nothing mind you this is already day 2 of my vacation and still no credits and alway's over an hour on the phone with ...so next day...day 3 STILL NOTHING $150 down the drain at this time I'm UPSET BEYOND WORDS no $150 and 3 days trying to fix so I gave up....I am disgusted and will NEVER trust they should make this right and return $150 back on my credit card since that's what I was promised so please people be careful and if you guys at want to call me you guys have my number and I'm pretty sure you all can see the notes

You get upset beyond words for $150 on your cruise vacation? You need a chill pill lady. What would you do if an airline loses your luggage? Lol

It was onboard credit, for heaven's sake! They shouldn't refund you $150.

Book thru cruises only for many cruises. Never an issue and onboard credits were always there

I booked thru a third party an MSC cruise, 3 rd party said I'd have an $80. Obc, well Onboard they knew nothing , so after they sent corporate an email they took me in a back office and allowed me a half hour phone call, MSC offers a 10 % discount, to municipal employees which we took advantage of, it was $175. Off our cabin ,came down to MSC only allows 1 discount or Obc , I still made out so no complaints

Don't let it ruin your vacation... you spent a lot more money than that on your trip, $150 isn't going to make or break you.

Moral of the story: ALWAYS book through Carnival.

If you booked through a 3rd party--a TA or Expedia for example, that is in no way a reflection on Carnival. It's kind of unfair to rate Carnival 1 star for something another company is responsible for. Were there other factors in your rating? Quality of service from servers, bartenders, stewards? Was food and beverage quality poor? Was the ship not clean? Im going on Splendor in November and am looking for honest, fair reviews of the ship. And honestly, in the end did you really let $150 ruin your $1000+ vacation?

Did you check your booking summary when you got your Boarding Pass? It should show if there was an OBC in your booking.

Confused ?! Did you book through Carnival for this cruise or a different company because your first sentence sounds as if you didn't?
