Carnival Splendor

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: February 26, 2017

Ship: Carnival Splendor

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: 6248

Traveled as: Large Group

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Review summary

My favorite part of the cruise was the food and sitting on the balcony.  Unfortunately we were on a ship that had an engine problem and we missed 2 of the ports.  After reading the history of the Splendor I would not recommend this ship to others.

We were on this ship in May.. We also did not have problems with this ship.. We made it to all 4 ports... We had a Great time on Splendor... Sorry for your trip not going well.... Things happen unexpectedly you should be able to ask for some of your money to be refunded due to yall missing ports because the ship broke down....

We went in July and didn't have any problems. Unfortunately you can have problems with any ship. They have all have had some sort of an issue.

Crummy old ships - can be kept up. They've already paid for themselves and are now pretty much pure profit. Spend the money saved on passenger service and good food. It's a winning formula (or at least - it could be).
