How low will Carnival Go???

Sail Date: July 15, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The only good thing about this cruise was our head waiter and his crew and room steward and his.  Most waiters just couldn't be bothered most of the time and many of the guest service staff was very condescending.  Let's not forget the outrageous cost of excursions, the way they are described, and then what you actually experience.  Then having to deal with the excursion staff!!!  Now, lets talk about babies in all pools with diapers on and small children being allowed to monopolize the limited hot tubs. As for the Serenity deck being only for guests over 21, ha!, and why is there no separate pool or hot tub in that limited area!!  oh, btw, what brain surgeon had the idea to put the ping pong tables near an entrance/exit way to the 10th floor lido deck elevators???

Food and Dining
Wonderful head waiter, Remberto, and his staff
Service and Staff
Room steward, Piquito, and his staff were great. Guest services and shore excursion staff need attitude adjustments
Entertainment
Late comedy shows need to be in a larger area to accommodate guests!
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
REALLY!!! Is anyone from Carnival monitoring excursions???
Ship Quality
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Cabin / Stateroom
Bed very uncomfortable. Had a few problems with bathroom (which was fixed, but should have been repaired on the ships time, not ours)
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Don't bother getting off the ship!!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Not enough time spent in this port.
Grand Turk Island
Excursion was horrible!! Area was in one of the worst parts of the island, got sick from the food that was served, had to return to the ship early, and "hosts" need to learn how to smile and be hospitable!!!
