Review summary

It was our 40th anniversary. We love the size of the boat with the amenities available. We both vape so hate the limited smoking areas! Didn’t go to serenity area because we couldn’t vape. Overall a great peaceful trip. Highly recommend!!

Embarkation

We have around 40 cruises under our belt and the embarkation inSeattle was the absolute best we have ever had!! We were worried because most cruisers were Platinum or Diamond and Carnival sent notice no special service for getting on the boat. We went through the process at 11:20 and did not wait at a single place!! Document check, security, embarkation pics, then walking onto ship! Fabulous!! Everyone we spoke with was super friendly! Just an overall perfect boarding!!

Food and Dining

We quit doing the main dining room several cruises ago because of some bad experiences so I can’t comment on that. We did eat at the steakhouse on our anniversary and the food and service was superb! Lido buffet was excellent most nights. Good variety and something carved every night. Salad bar was spot on! Guy’s Hamburger and pizza was very good as usual. Lines to eat on this particular cruise were nearly nonexistent! Even for the fresh breakfast omelets! All staff was attentive and friendly at all eating stations.

Onboard Activities

We don’t do many activities but thee putt putt course was fun although windy.

Service and Staff

I would 5 star this but I found it necessary to go to customer service a couple times and this bunch was just not as friendly as what I’m used to on Carnival.

Ship Quality

Everything was super EXCEPT balcony glass. I cruised in the days when the glass was cleaned daily!! We are bringing us some winded on our next cruise!LOL

Ship tip

We were on a repositioning cruise to New Orleans. Leave the kids at home!! Average age was 55-80. Only saw about 8 children all together.

Full disclaimer… we never left the welcome area! Lots of local wildlife like a Mimi zoo! Had a blast. Huge gift shop, duty free store and NO local harassing vendors! Gotta love it. Looking forward to visiting again.

Carnival does a pretty good dinner buffet with a lot of the same items as the MDR so you don’t miss much by avoiding the MDR. Thanks for not vaping where you’re not allowed. Some vapors don’t think smoking rules apply to them.
