Review summary

Family was great, food was good. We loved the boat and the weather. The captain and crew were awesome. Loved the naturalist that was on board and the cruise director and fun squad top notch. Where it was lacking was cleanliness and safety measures. Many many came home with Covid. Yeah you don’t hear it much but sit at the Buffett for 5 minutes and listen to all the coughing. Both my elderly parents rapidly got it on the way home yesterday and it’s super sad. They love cruising and we did 4 since the restart. This is the most lax in terms of clean I’ve seen. And it shows on all the sick posts from our cruise. Very disappointed that I can’t take my parents anymore without worrying what they will catch.

No issues here other than the lack of cleanliness at the Buffett with all the coughing people employees included.

This is where carnival shines. My room guy mark. LaLa in the service staff. Satria in the main dining room was wow .

Ship Quality

In the cruise roll call you will see a high number of Covid positive cases. There wasn’t one health questionnaire to answer even like before Covid. I took this same ship last year and it was clean and extra steps were in place. Now it’s the opposite and my elderly parents who did their best to be careful brought Covid home. We definitely are looking at other lines that focus more on cleanliness and safety for the elderly

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Take lots of hand sanitizer and eat in the main dining room since the sick travelers seem to crowd around the Buffett.

Why even call this a port. Our excursions were canceled because we didn’t dock until 8:30pm long after the gardens were closed.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Victoria is only a stop to meet the “foreign” port requirements. I agree that it would be nice to be there earlier and longer to be able to to enjoy the port. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Hope your parents are feeling better.

Glad the cruise was good. Hate to echo this but yes Covid, just like flu, is here to stay. Praying your parents feel better soon.

Glad you had a wonderful time on your cruise. Covid is everywhere not just on cruise ships. Hope your parents feel better soon. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise, but sadly Covid is everywhere, and precautions and protocols are no longer in existence. As cruising is a congregate setting, there is a real risk of getting covid.
