Review summary

Overall we liked the Ambiance of the ship. We disliked the amount of smoking-there were areas of the ship you had to walk thru to get to where you wanted and you had to walk through the "Gauntlet of Smokers". We happened to get unlucky and had smokers on the rooms next to us-they had smokers cough and would smoke on the balconies. We tried to change rooms but were told the ship was full.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We are Vegetarians and much of the food was good-however for dinner and the main course-the chef loved to cook high fat vege dishes (lots of cheese and cream dishes)-were vegetarians for our health and do not eat that kinds of fat. The Breakfast buffet was very redundant pretty much the same every day-I lunches had the best variety. I really could go on about how I could improve the quality of food. Dining times and ambiance was very good-Our waiter was very nice however he was to attendant at times-he would keep asking how everything was and interrupt conversations when it was not a appropriate time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was excellent-loved the Comedian-and the variety of entertainment-The amount of smoking allowed in various bar and entertainment areas was terrible

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the attention was very good-our atateroom attendant was very good-and except for the interruptions I liked our waiter-One of the Gym sttendants was apparently being fired and he wasnt so nice-he said this was his last Cruise as they were letting him go. Overall I would rate the Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean Staff to be more friendly. I loved the Cruise Director She was fabulous

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It took awhile to get used to but the decor actually was really neat-much different than the other ships-also it was a good size not to big-you could get a lounge chair without any real problem-

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice Staterooms plenty of room nice decor

Ports of call

Acapulco, Mexico

3 out of 5
Loved the warm water and had a good Snorkel tour
Don't Miss: Cliff Divers

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

3 out of 5
The Kayak tour we took was very poor-to short Kayaking-they just wanted to sell you liquor and trinkets when we got back
Don't Miss: Loved the warm water

Manzanillo, Mexico

5 out of 5
We went on our own to a resort the Las Hamas and I loved the Resort. Real nice pool and beach area. Note that we went on our own and got what was offered from the tour at less than 1/2 the price-
Don't Miss: Las Hamas Resort

Pros: Leaving from San Diego. The Size of Ship, big but not to big. The entertainment

Cons: The Amount of Cigarette Smoking on the Ship-They allowed more smoking areas than The Royal Caribbean and people should not be able to smoke on the Balconies. The other thing is the Tour Directors only want you to buy there expensive tours and make it sound like you will probably get killed if you
