Got a great rate on our amazing room which made up for the rest of the cruise. Will not be sailing Carnival again.

Embarkation

Smooth process since we purchased the FTTF pass.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was average at best. Slow replenishment at buffets. Main dining extremely slow and portion size was ridiculous. I ordered shrimp for my entree and received 4 shrimp with 2 florets of broccoli. Took too long to get anything else. Drink refill stations for the soda package were nonexistent unless you wanted to wait 20 min at the bar. Not sure worth the $.

Onboard Activities

Spa

Entertainment

Trivia was fun. Evening show was nonexistent.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Friendly staff, but WAY understaffed. Never met my cabin steward. He only serviced our room once per day which is very different from our experiences on other cruise lines. Turn down service at 11am is highly unusual. Waiters were very friendly, but attention to service and details was severely lacking. Never received refills on beverages at any meal in the dining room unless requested. Missing utensils often. Did not offer coffee at dinner. Rarely saw waitstaff except upon arrival, to order and receive food. No checking in to see how the food was, if refills or anything else was needed.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean until we witnessed a guest drop her pants and pee on the floor in the hallway by the stairs because the restroom wasn’t there.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved this room!!!! The view from this room made the cruise totally worth it! Comfy bed. Huge room. Amazing view!

Ship tip

If you’re into the bar scene, this is the shop for you.

No, just embarked and disembarked

Catalina Island, California

4 out of 5
Most things were closed due to off-season but we really enjoyed the hummer tour of the island.

Ensenada, Mexico

The excursions offered were very limited so we just walked downtown and said “no gracias” a million times.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Easy experience
