Try to avoid this ship. You think you save some money since the rates are much cheaper than other cruise lines but overall the time you wasted on waiting on the queue really doesn’t worth it.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
I have to say embarkation on Dover maybe the smoothest operation of this whole cruise.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The only place you can get some how decent food is the main dining room. Buffer is horrible, pizza is greasy and either overcooked or undercooked. Deli is ok but always needs to wait since only one person handles each guest’s different request. Blue iguana is acceptable. Didn’t try the hamburger, so cannot comment. Ran out of my ordered sparkling wine half way of the cruise, so have to settle for some other brands.

Waiter in Lido won’t help you with drinks but they are polite. MDR service are pretty good and the food there is much better than Lido. The worst are the ones passing and checking tender tickets. Rude!
Ship Quality

This ship for sure needs a dry dock.
Cabin / Stateroom

The ship is old so it reflects everywhere you go. Room size is decent and even some people complain about no hot water, room temperature is too cold and won’t be able to change from the thermometer. But this didn’t happen to us.
Due to late arrival, we had to cancel Giant’s causeway. Took a walking tour but the tour guide whole time was talking about the tenses between N Ireland and British government. So if you are not into this, Titanic museum and HoHo bus might serve you better. However we took a light lunch on a small pub, the fish n chips & beer is really good.
Again, ship is late! The bus waiting by the tender port for more than three hours, but at least they tried to serve every booked customers, this, we can’t complain. Holyhead castle is impressive but we don’t have time to get in and walk around. The tour guide took us to every place we need to be. Beautiful scenery and even with such a crushed program everyone had fun. I have to give the tour guide a 10+. He did everything he could to provide us the best of Wales.
We were two hours late for our tour, luckily the bus is still waiting for us at the port. Akureyri is beyond words. We saw the waterfall , geyser, and where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Our guide is very knowledgeable, he answered all our questions. Excellent trip.
Ship arrived two hours later than scheduled, clear ship took another two hours. Miss my paid golden circle tour. Finally we use the time to walk to downtown Reykjavik, visit Hallgrimskirkja.
The worst experience of my total 12 cruises. Tender is a mess. We miss breakfast just in order to be on the queue for tender tickets. They start passing tender tickets 6:45 am and people start waiting at the lobby from 5:30 am. My whole vacation spent on waiting for disembark, nevertheless miss some paid tour without refund due to slow slow operation. Ship arrived at 8 am, it will be lucky if you can get ashore by 10:30. We received coupons from our tour operators for future tour due to almost three hours missing. That said for twenty years in tour business, they never seem any unorganized disembarkation like this. Only less than 500 passengers per hour on the tender while other cruise line can do more than two thousand slick and smoothly. I am speechless.
I believe Pride sail out of Caribbean probably will be different story then their maiden sail to Iceland. From what I’ve heard they sold two birth to other cruise lines and changed to tender in order to save some money. As matter of fact, I did see two port fee credits at the end of cruise statement. Waste three hours for tender operation on each person and we have totally 2000+ passengers on board. Everyone is so looking forward to this trip but ruined this way is totally not acceptable. I simply tell what happened to my trip this time not judging your favorite ship.
