This was our 29th cruise and our third since sailing has resumed from the pandemic. It was, by far, the most enjoyable and relaxing cruise we have taken. The staff and crew were excited to have us back and Carnival has stepped up their game with more comedy offerings, multiple playlist shows, and a safer and cleaner environment!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was a very smooth embarkation process, especially given the COVID protocols. We were on the ship and in our cabin within an hour of our arrival.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Great wait staff...and great food!
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
5 out of 5
There were 4 playlist shows for this 7 day cruise...and they were very well done! The female DJ was the best we have ever had. There were 4 comedians on board the entire 7 days and alternated multiple shows each day.
Children's Programs
We did not have any children in our party...and there were very few on-board.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our cabin steward and our dining room wait staff were all very personable and catered to our every need.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We simply love the Carnival Spirit Class ships, the Pride being the first we ever sailed on in 2009. The ship was in great shape, was very clean and well-maintained...with what appeared to be recent cosmetic upgrades. The Decor was exciting, yet not gaudy.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was quite comfortable and very well maintained. The best improvement noted, which should be done on every ship, is the replacement of the balcony doors with the addition of a door closer which prevented the slamming of the doors! Finally...a night of sleep uninterrupted by the slamming of a neighbor's balcony door.
Ship tip
If you are looking for a quiet place to talk, drink in hand, try the Secret Garden on deck 3 forward.
This port IS an excursion! With most other port stops, you would pay good money to travel to a beach that, most likely, could not compare to this one...and would pay extra for the lunch buffet that is provided by Carnival at this one.
We took the Resort World Bimini Beach experience excursion...which included access to a great beach, two pools, two bars, and offered good food at a reasonable price.
We were only at Freeport from 7 AM to 1 PM and it was raining...so we did not leave the ship. Having stopped there many time before, we have done the few excursions that are offered...and had planned to simply leave the ship to walk around the few shops right at the pier...but the rain changed our plans. It is our hope that Carnival will replace Freeport as a port stop...perhaps when their plans for a new "Grand Turk style" port becomes a reality.
