Review summary

This was a great cruise. Our cruise director, Marty, was fantastic, as was the rest of his squad. We have no complaints about our cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation at the Port of Baltimore was quick and efficient. The screening line moved at a good pace with no delays. It seemed like we were on the ship in no time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all our meals. The food in the MDR was good at each meal. Breakfast and lunch on Lido were tasty and had plenty of choices.

David's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Our meal at the steakhouse was delicious and the service was good. I had an Australian wagyu that I really enjoyed.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We had a lot of fun onboard. We played bingo on the sea days and had fun even though we didn’t win.

Photo Gallery

3 out of 5

The pictures they take are generally good and looking at them every day is fun, but they are a little pricey to purchase. We did a sitting in the photo studio on an elegant night and bought a package of those photos.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows every night in the Taj Mahal Theater were enjoyable. The comedy shows were hit or miss, depending on the comedian. The comedy venue is small—get there early if you want a seat, especially for the late shows. The nightly parties in the atrium were a blast!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was outstanding. He was friendly and did a great job taking care of our cabin. Most of the wait staff were excellent, but we did have a couple who were a little slower than average.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean throughout. The design of the ship is convenient. Finding your way around is easy once you get acquainted to the lay-out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a balcony cabin, 7203. It was comfortable and sufficiently roomy with a couch and a seat at the mirror. The 3 closets offered more than enough storage. The balcony was a great option with number of sea days on this cruise.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We had a good day at Nassau. We did the Segway tour on Blue Lagoon Island. The gathering point at the pier was rather disorganized, but once we were on the ferry to Blue Lagoon, all was good. We enjoyed the Segway tour a lot more than we anticipated. It was fun and informative.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
We enjoyed our day at Freeport. The only downside was the long bus ride to the excursion point. We did the VIP sailboat, which was fun. Lunch and unlimited drinks are included, along with a stop for snorkeling. There were only 8 of us on the sailboat, which made it very enjoyable. The service provided was great!

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
Baltimore is a great port. It’s right off I-95, has ample parking close to the terminal, with easy in & out.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
HMC was a great relaxing day. We just went to the beach to lay in the sun & swim. There were plenty of chairs available. The provided buffet lunch was good. And the Fun Squad had the party going at the pirate ship for those who wanted to partake.

This was my very 1st cruise ever and I loved it as well. Glad to get a cruise in before covid shut everything down and be able to experience it before all the changes that are bound to come.
