Within the cruise ship and port of Nassau was great, everything else was a dissapointment.

Review summary

Everything on the ship and Nassau was great but embarkation, parking, disembarkation and the fees applied were not fair. Completely unjust method of getting money

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Cruise delayed due to late disembarkation of previous passengers. Trip was postponed 1 day due to weather conditions so was told that we would be reimbursed for the day.. the next day all passengers were supposed to be on board by 4pm but were unable to even park vehicles in the lot until approx. 7pm. We were told by staff to return to the parking lot AT 4pm. This delayed embarkation to between 7pm and 9pm with a departure time of 10pm. This was completely rushed for the sake of making money and taking advantage of customers because of the wording used in the contract. Ship returned at 10 with no activities planned, only disembarkation was to take place on this day but was counted as a "cruise day". Dirty tactics and u fair treatment to us guests...and to top it off have the nerve to charge a full day at the parking lot on day of arrival (7pm) and another full day parking fee for the day of arrival when we left at 11am. Ridiculous money hustling scheme.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Wonderful! Food from one source or another was available all day and night and anything that was not liked was promptly taken away by staff and replaced hassle free. Most dishes were delicious so the need for replacement happened a handful of times but seconds and thirds were welcomed with a smile.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Mini golf deck was poorly planned and was near the exhaust ventilation which made for and unpleasant attempt at gaming. The basketballs provided needed air and were even worn out with very little bounce. Some planned arts and craft activities were rushed and seemed to lack enough available staff to help the person running the event.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainers and entertainment spaces were very well planned. These events were wonderful and great shows were a definite highlight.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff remained friendly, very entertaining, thoughtful and very good with names. They really made us feel special. Hands down the best feature of our trip!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness was on par.. some of the design aspects, such as the mini golf being placed near shift ventilation, or why the serenity pool isnt just a serenity hot tub for the adults private area, leaves much to be desired.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was comfortable, the staff kept it clean and it served its purpose well. The tv could be better placed as I nearly hit my head of the edge of the screen every time I wanted to out something into the room safe or while walking to the foot of the bed.. but overall, did what it's meant to do.

Ship tip

Either buy drinks as you go or get separate rooms for each of your accompanying guests or you will be forced to pay the alcohol package for all guests in the cabin, whether they drink alcohol or not.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

1 out of 5
Horrible place to get stuck in traffic during embarkation. Did not like how parking was handled.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Nassau was wonderful! Travel for our excursion was ready on arrival. Had a great time in the short 8 hours we were able to be abroad.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

1 out of 5
This port had absolutely nothing going for it. The city is 30+ minutes away from the ship port and not worth the hassle when were were only in port 8am-1pm. All I could enjoy was tanning on the sun deck of the ship. Not fun.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Not happy with having to pay a whole days worth of parking for a 10am departure or with having to pay 6 nights on a 5 night cruise that originally should have been 7 nights.. not a good first impression

Parking fee has nothing to do with carnival. It is the port authority of Baltimore that sets the fees

Did you actually research the drink packages before purchase? Did you read the parking rules before parking? I’m sure if you went on this trip with full knowledge them you wouldn’t have been bothered by these things.
