Review summary

Entire cruise was wonderful. Food, drinks, state room, entertainment, activities, service and weather perfect. Except for last two days, when we hit rough sea with strong wind and big waves. Even though I still will sail every year. For me this is the best type of vacation.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It only took 3 hours driving from Philadelphia and 20 min to board the ship. Very organized and pleasant experience. A+

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had very nice cabin steward (from Indonesia). Even with broken English communication was good. Helped us any way he could. Room service and ship personal are very nice. A+

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship looks is in Renaissances style. Well-maintained. Good enough to enjoy all of it's amenities.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room is fine. Convenient location to elevators, pools and buffet(only one deck up). How ever there is one minus. Located under entrance to Mermaid cafe on Lido deck. All night you can hear staff working there, preparing food and getting room ready. If you are light sleeper not a good place to stay.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Cruise ship terminal conveniently located of I95 highway. Easy to get in the port and get out of it.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

5 out of 5
Scenic St. Croix excursion was OK. Warm weather. Clean waters. Walking distance beach. All this makes this port very pleasant.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Beautiful green island. We did St Kitts Highlights & Brimstone Hill Fortress excursion. Involve driving and plenty walking. No beach. Returned to ship after.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

5 out of 5
Very different Caribbean island compare to others. Went on Discover Martinique shore excursion. French style living. Nice houses build everywhere. Clean and good roads to travel. Did not visit beach, but enjoyed walking on land all day.

Bridgetown, Barbados

3 out of 5
Went on Best of Barbados Island Tour excursion. Visited botanical garden. Very nice views of nature. Had some local food and rum punch. Was not impressed. While driving back saw plenty tint shacks and poor people housings. Atlantic side of the island water very rough and strong wind. No swimming in the ocean

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Eat, Drink Walk: Puerto Rican Flavors shore excursion. Lots of walking up and down the streets. Had plenty food and drinks included. Learned about Piña Colada history. Visited fortress on my own. No beach.

Disembarkation

The Atlantic ocean was very rough on the way back. Had to wait due to coming late to port. Over all everything turned out OK.

Looks like a great time, I don't even recognize the Pride anymore. Was on her last in November of 2009. I know they "refurbbed" her since then.
