Review summary

Had an amazing time like always! Cruising from so close to home was a bonus! Weather was amazing, food was great, and all of the entertainment was so much fun! Can’t wait to go back!

Embarkation

Simple process as always! We always purchase the Faster to the Fun package which gives us priority boarding. The port was clean and the staff was well organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room is always great! Love it! My only complaint this time was the Carnival warm melting cake was over cooked every single day! Not like Carnival, disappointing! We did go to the steak house which was amazing as always!!! Didn’t get the seating we wanted but the food was amazing! The buffets were good as were the pizza, burgers and tacos!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center is always nice. Much easier to workout with the view of the ocean! The lido deck pool was a tiny bit crowded but still fun. Casino area was wayyyyy to Smokey! I wish Carnival would enclose that area!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Savannah was great!! I haven’t met a Carnival CD I didn’t like! We loved the DJ’s! Went to the club every night!!! Shows were better than expected. We’ve seen most of the shows so I expected to be bored but I was pleasantly surprised how good they were and that they were a little different.

Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony cabin, spacious and clean. Although we aren’t there to watch television, I hate that they took almost all of the channels away. I liked to catch up on the news.

Ship tip

Be ready for a great time!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Not much to do. There is no beach close to the port which I knew, but it wasn’t easy finding a taxi or transportation to a beach. We ended up doing a city tour that was supposed to stop at a beach but didn’t. I would just stay on the ship if I ever go back. Pretty, but nothing much to do.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Love this island. So much to do! Island is small enough to see the whole thing while in port and still have plenty of beach time!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Absolute favorite!!! So peaceful and the water is just the most amazing color! I really could stay there forever!

Baltimore, Maryland
