Review summary

This was a nice cruise. It is always nice when you have a great steward, which we did not. There should have been more shows in the Theater. The buffet needs to change up the variety of foods each day (not all places but some) and the Private Island should give free alcohol to people who paid for the drink packages.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was good. The Buffets never changed. They served the same stuff each day. They really need to change up the choices each day.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities by the pool were fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Comedy Club was great. Always crowed, need a bite of a bigger place. The shows in the Theater were slim. Not too many and not real exciting.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters in the Dining Room were great. My room steward barely said a word to us the whole cruise.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is an older ship but very pretty and well maintained. The common areas were always cleaned.

Cabin / Stateroom

This is a nice balcony room, but unfortunately it was very noisy. The pool is right above us and you can hear them doors open and chairs being moved all hours of the night.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
The Port was nice but the island is more on the poor side with devastation from storms. We did enjoy a local tour (not through cruise ship) and the donkeys were so cute and drank from our water bottles.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful Private Island. Was VERY DISAPPOINTED that we had to pay for drinks. A bucket of 4 beers was $34. We were the only ship there that day. The Alcohol package cost me and my husband $$859... so to have to pay for drinks on their private island was outrageous. Very disappointed in that.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
Very nice. Took a private Tour (not part of ship). Had a good time.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
This is a small port. The disembarkment too longer than it should. Boston port is just as small and we were off the ship much faster.

I like less time in port and more lazy sea days

You will enjoy cruising more once you get the hang of it.

Agreed for the most part, but I would like to add one thing: there needs to be more time in ports.
