Review summary

It was our first family vacation. We had an awesome time. My husband and I will definitely be going again.

Embarkation

Our son loved going watching as we went under the bridges.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We definitely stayed away from some of the breakfast food. I understand the food has to be bought and prepaired in large quantities, but the breakfast sausage and scrambled eggs were not good. My son love the 24 hrs ice cream. I loved the 24 hrs coffee.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pool was awesome. The fitness center was pretty cool but we only used it once because it was always so busy. Absolutely loved the serenity area!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the entertainment was absolutely amazing!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
I absolutely loved the cat in the hat activities! Camp ocean is awesome but parents cannot go in and play with their children. Personally I was not completely comfortable with dropping my son off to strangers. Young children that are not potty trained cannot go in the pool. Young children that are potty trained, can go in the pool but typically their parents have to be with them. But parents don’t want to be in the pool all the time nor do they want to keep them on lock down the entire vacation. There should be a separate room for parents and children to go to with toys and a tv to play together, have social interaction with other children, and let out some energy. Especially on those rainy days at sea.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dr. E was amazing. He absolutely loved our son. The wait staff was great. Maja was our favorite. Jolly took care of our room and every morning it was a friendly hello.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was always clean and if we needed something Jolly was alway there to help.

Ship tip

Definitely take advantage of the Carnival Hub app. We turn off our data and disconnected with the world for the week. But we used the app and paid $5 a person so we could message each other without having to worry about cellphone charges.

We were through security and on the boat very fast.

Grand Turk Island

We toured the island and made a few stops. It was crazy how it only took two hours to go around the entire island.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

LOVED LOVED LOVED. This was the only day we were able to relax. We sat on the beach and played in the water. The beach was gorgeous. The wait staff was awesome.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

We took a bus to the dolphin excursion. It was so much fun!!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Rough seas and rain but nothing anyone could do about it. We made the best of the last day. And getting off the boat was very painless. Some waiting but we did not check our bags. We were off the boat and on the road by 10:30.
