Review summary

It is an excellent cruise with a great crew, nice ship, and wonderful food. The first and last days are colder (cruise was in February so it is to be expected), but there are plenty of entertainment options on board.

Embarkation

Overall process was fine. Only down was a 2 hour delay due to issues at dry dock.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food and service in the main dining room. The buffet food was good, and desserts were amazing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was fine. Shows were better than expected. Lots of activities throughout the days with good variety. One issue was that the middle pool was out of service most of the days.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers were great. The hosts were terrific. The cruise director, Dr. E. was amazing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and wanted to help ensure you had a positive experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Design and layout are great. Plenty of balcony rooms. The layout is easy to navigate. Placement of spaces is great. The only down is that the ship is starting to show age and needs a full paint and refreshing.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It is about 75% the size of a hotel room. There is a lot of storage and we were easily able to unpack all our belongings with plenty of room to spare. The room was very clean and was well tended to every day. The one down is that the climate control did not work very well.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Nice beach area. Tide went out half way through the day which allowed us to walk along and see the hermit crabs and other shellfish.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Walked around the first few blocks of town. It was very clean and the shop workers were all nice and friendly. We went back to the ship for lunch and then walked to the public beach. It was again, a nice beach (the farther you walk, the nicer the beach).

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
We did the VIP sailing excursion. The bus ride there was very informative about the island and how the hurricanes have decimated the island. The excursion was great and captains Ken and Tristan were terrific hosts.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Everything was nice and orderly, but we were literally yelled at when we tried to get our passports back in the bags because we dared to stop moving.
