Overview is my husband and I never want to cruise on the “Pride” again. Mostly due to the smell of cigarettes in public areas. I hope to have a better dining experience in future cruises with your cruise line.

Our dining room service was like no other cruise we had been on. Carnival Peide was my 6th cruise. In the early 2000s we were on Carnival two orher times with high ratings.
The food service needs highly improved from food to servicing the passengers. Here’s why I say this:
1. Appetizers and entrees were mixed up amongst our family members
2. Drinks/beverages were not offered unless we asked except for when my husband and I had dinner without the other family members
3. Some of the entrees were dry or overcooked. On the last night of the cruise my husband and I dined alone. I requested a shrimp dinner. There were two on the menu. The head waiter brought me the one I did not want instead of asking me which I preferred. I initially wanted the pasta/shrimp entree. When I received the correct shrip dinner the pasta was undercooked and the tomato sauce was greasy. I didn’t want to ask for another dinner as the time was already 7:30p and we had waited over an hour to be seated in the dining room due requesting a specific head waiter

Johnathan “cookie” was the best cruise director of all the ones I met over my cruising times.

1. Chairs were not pulled out for the ladies upon arrival
2. The head waiter puts the napkin on the lap- this did not happen
3. We requested a particular waiter, only to be ignored and placed at a table where we did not get the waiter we requested
4. I beieve we received poor service due to one of my family members had too many complaints and gave thr a difficut time. I was embarrassed by my family member’s bad behavior but the service however should not have been reflected back on my husband nor myself
5. Our room steward Kadek was great. We gave him an extra tip. Always pleasant and hepful. Kept the cabin tydie.
Ship Quality

The interior design was fabulous. The air quality however in some public areas was awful. The smell of cigarette smoke throughout the ship was unpleasant. I have asthma. The smell of smoke affects my breathing. I had been on two of your other ships which I do not recall being that bad. The mainnpool area should be smoke free. I didn’t attend some of the main deck activities due to the cigarette smell.

Ship tip
If you have a party of 5 or more ensure you get to dining room as early as 5:30 to be able to have the waiter of your choice. Be curteous to your severs and they will be courteous to you.
I couldn't agree more regarding the smoke. I had the same complaint. However its sad that others on this site feel like they need to make nasty remarks if you dont give the cruise ship glowing reviews. the fact is had I known I would have chosen a different ship. I appreciate the honest reviews. thanks.
Too bad you didn't enjoy yourselves. Been on the Pride 3x, going again next spring. Never experienced what you did. You should be happy you get to cruise. A lot of people can't.
