Our Belated Honeymoon ..... and my Dream vacation.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Long lines ... can’t help it I guess. Things went fine and we got to our room without much delay.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food everywhere was amazing !!! Amazing, plentiful, tons of choices and quick lines. Drinks were a little tough to deal with, even for a soda ... finding an open bar, waiting in lines and then being repeatedly forced to deal with the one miserable bartender on the ship (AYU - never once a smile or a pleasant exchange. Always a scowl on her face)
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Loved Beauties night club ... had a great time there (until the music changed to hip-hop genre). The pools and hot-tubs seemed to be jammed with kids with the exception of Serenity and the gym hot-tub.
However, the one evening we decided to enjoy the gym hot-tub, it had 2 kids, age 11-12 we guessed. We were patient as ship staff passed by several times ignoring them ....after about half an hour, I discreetly requested they pay more attention to signage and please utilize the other hot tubs and pools and leave this one for the adults.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Our entertainers in the shows were fabulous and personable. We chatted with the lead male entertainer (Chris I think?) on several occasions by chance. They were all quite impressive. Musical shipwide perfomers were fine. Something for everyone.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Wonderful !!
(With the exception of staff ignoring children in the adult areas)
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
You’d get a full 5 stars from both of us if it wasn’t for being assaulted by cigarette smoke throughout our journey. Having to pass through smoking areas around pools and having to be forced to walk through smoke laden Casino area and the hallways leading up to and away from it.
it’s offensive to us when we paid to get away on what we believed would be a smoke free environment. It’s not like we could avoid those areas.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Obstructed view aside ... it was neat, clean and well designed for the size given. Impossible to hear announcements in our rooms. Would appreciate a more diverse choice of news (one is not a choice). Quality of TV and channel selection poor when feeling confined due to 2 days of very bad seas and winds.
Ship tip
Have a breakfast at the Blue Iguana. Eat the Dessert (all of them), especially the apple streusel. Bring your own insulated mug to keep your coffee hot or your beverage cold. Burgers and pizza are great.
Get up early to see a sunrise on the ocean and sailing into Baltimore Harbor arriving home ....and be on the deck for a sunset. Bring a good camera and tripod and take your own pics to save HUNDREDS instead of feeling pressured to buy the quality ship photos.
Best part of our trip !!!!
We booked an excursion to Bohio (private beach excursion with seafood lunch). We feel it was WAY too short of a day. I would go back there again.
Wonderful. Would have appreciated a little steel drum background music though.
Feeling like we should have been able to utilize our “bubbles” program there .... since it’s owned by the cruise line and we paid for it.
Burst water pipe meant no-one was able to shower in the morning ... no water for coffee or juice. Long wait lines and people pushing ahead and line jumping.
