Never Carnival again. Especially this ship. It's too old.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Traveling to the Port of Baltimore was a challenge, waiting in a single file line of cars was frustrating. Once we were able to get in and park, getting on board was fine. They desperately need to evaluate and change the way cars get into the port and park.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Restaurant/dining room food was good. The buffets need to change it up and the runny scrambled eggs every morning were gross.
Pizza Pirate
5 out of 5
Great hand-tossed pizza!
Guy's Burger Joint
5 out of 5
Best burger and fries!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The ship is old and not many things onboard. The small pools don't allow for hardly anyone to get in. The adult only lounge didn't have near enough chairs. We were out there at 7am to get a lounge chair and already they had towels on them.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Ships entertainment is amateur. The one comedy act was good, but it only lasted 45 mins.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
No one was going out of their way to help. The lady at the hostess station at our dining room for breakfast was rude. She wouldn't seat me and my husband until our entire party was there. We had to get out of line and wait for the others to arrive....
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The 1970's ship is so old, paint is pealing off the balcony walls, floor tiles kept popping up, the decor is hideous.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
We had someones clipped toenails on the floor of our cabin when we arrived. And they remained there for 3 days. There is only one single outlet in the room. Clearly not enough for multiple cell phones, and all of our other electronic devices. There is also NO outlet in the bathroom...
Ship tip
Don't cruise on the Pride. If you do, bring a power strip for the room. Lot's of tums or pepto.
I've been on 3 Carnival Cruises, two of which were bad, including my experience on the Pride. Carnival seems to be "hit or miss". I encourage you to try Carnival again, possibly on a newer ship, to see if you've had the same experience I had.
Sad to hear you had a bad cruise...I've been on the Pride twice out of Baltimore and loved both trips... The staff was awesome went out of their way to make the trips enjoyable... Food was great from the main dining room, to the buffet, and up to David's Steak House... Both my cabins were cleaned daily... The shows were good and the comedians were enjoyable... Went to the later adult shows... Pride is the perfect size, easy to get around, and there is something for everyone... I'll definitely sail on her again...
Ok, here we go. First, ship was built in 2001 and had a multimillion renovation several years ago. There is an outlet in the bathroom up on the lightbar. Yes, there is only 1 outlet at the desk area but you can bring a powerstrip with you. BTW one outlet is pretty much the norm. Did you bother to look at your copy of Fun Times for activities. There is a comedy club (Punchliners) that has several shows a night (family and adult). About the toe nails, who did you ask to have the floor vacuumed? As far as parking and embarking and debarkation is not controlled by the cruise line. Lastly, the egg issue, never had that problem. Did you try the omelet station? You can can eggs done anyway you want.
Went on two cruises on the Pride, Loved both of them. ,,,,,,,Sorry you had such a bad time. I have been on another cruise lines also, Carnival is my fav.
Don't really care for Royal Caribbean. Too much of an older crowd and found a lot, not all, of the people to be a little snobby. I guess different people have different tastes. We'll stick with Carnival
