Review summary

We will never cruise with Carnival again. The ship was old and in need of many repairs. The shows were short, food is just 'ok'. They would close down the adult lounge area bar at like 6pm. We could never find a lounge chair since there were so few of those for the 2,500+ guests. We had the unlimited soda package, but had to wait in line at a bar to get a soda. I could go on and on.

Embarkation

Port of Baltimore was just OK. The traffic all getting into port was a nightmare. It was single file at one point and so backed up, it took an hour just to move through the gate to find a parking spot.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food wasn't bad, not great, just 'ok'. The buffet never really changes, so if you like runny scrambled eggs, you're good for the entire trip. We bought the unlimited soda package, but you have to go to a bar and wait in line to ask for a soda...Royal Caribbean has a soda machine with the rest of the self-serve beverages making it much easier to get to.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The shows were minimal. The comedy show we went to was only about 45 mins long. Just as we got comfortable and having a good time, it was over...no real big headliner show like we had on Royal C.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Staff were friendly when you approached them, but the room steward didn't go out of his way to introduce himself or ever ask if we needed anything. The hostess at one of our breakfast dining times was rude. Told us we couldn't be seated at our table until the rest of our party showed up. So we had to get out of line and wait for the other 4 members and get back in line. I didn't understand this at all.

Ship Quality

This ship is so old, it needs to be put out of circulation. I'm guessing it's 1970's. The decor is weird, but worse, all the floor tiles are popping up, paint was peeling off of our balcony walls. The worst part was only having one SINGLE outlet in our room. Clearly not enough for all of our cell phones, apple watches, and tablets and a hairdryer. There were not outlets in the bathroom either...

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was comfortable and the balcony was ok. When we arrived, there were someone's clipped toenails all over the floor. The worst part was only having one SINGLE outlet in our room. Clearly not enough for all of our cell phones, apple watches, and tablets and a hairdryer. There were not outlets in the bathroom either...

Ship tip

Don't book this ship. If you do, be sure to bring a surge/power strip with you for your room.

Disembarkation

I don't understand why it takes so long to get off of a ship. We had our breakfast at 7:45 and had to wait until 11 to get in the line to get off the ship.
