Review summary

I loved the cruise! The seas were choppy so the ship was rocking a bit, but the service, food, and entertainment were all excellent! I would definitely go on this ship again, and can't wait to book my next cruise! I'm hooked on cruising now.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
This was my first cruise and embarkation was delayed by 4 hours due to weather. I'm not sure what a standard embarkation is like so I have nothing to compare it to. The lines were pretty long, but I feel like they moved pretty fast. We drove to the port and arrived around 4, and we were on the ship around 6:30. The longest part was waiting to park, but I feel like EVERYONE showed up at the same time instead of going by their assigned time due to the ship arriving late.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Didn't try the specialty restaurants, there wasn't a need. The food in the Normandie was fantastic, Guys burgers are great, and I loved Blue Iguana Cantina's burritos. The only complaint is the free coffee was watered down poop.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Miniature golf was fun, I didn't go on the slides, but they would've been fun too. Loved the activities at the main pool on lido deck.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I caught as many shows as I could and I loved them all. Saffie was an awesome cruise director and the entertainers were amazingly talented! The DJ's at the pool kept the crowds entertained, and I wish I would've caught more of the singers that played in the atrium.

Children's Programs

Didn't bring my kids.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
We had anytime dining so our wait staff changed a lot, but the best wait staff by far came on the last night. If we would've had Alexander the first night we probably would've asked to be seated in his section the entire trip. Ian, our room steward was amazing. Everything we asked for he provided and always greeted us with a smile. He even put extra padding on our beds, and remade a towel animal my cruise companion destroyed. Ian was definitely a favorite.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and clean. There was never a time that I didn't see staff cleaning the main areas picking up after people, making sure tables were clear and the decks were clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved the balcony, the beds are a bit hard but our room steward put extra padding on them when we asked. Ian kept the room clean, and even though it was next to elevators, we didn't hear a lot of noise. I'd stay in this room again.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Again, this is the first time I've been through this process and due to high winds we were delayed coming into port. I have nothing to compare it to, but I feel like they did the best they could and when we were finally able to start leaving the ship it went pretty smoothly.
