Review summary

This was another family vacation and by far one of the best. We are booked again on the Pride for a Journeys 2 week cruise in November 2018. Cannot wait.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived by shuttle at 1230 and were on the ship in about 15 minutes. No problems at all.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had early seating dinner at table 109 with the quickest, friendliest waiters we have had in some time. The food was delicious as always and desserts were worth the "weight". Especially loved the Guy's Burgers.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We played Bingo a lot. The Bingo host "Baby Jane" was fun but we didn't win anything. We spent lots of money in the casino too.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Having been on the ship for the 6th time we had seen all the show before. However, this cast was exceptionally good and made it seem like the first time we had seen them. We later found out that this was also their last cruise together.

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendliest staff on the Carnival Pride. Some we had on our last cruise as well so it was like seeing family again. Our waiters were excellent, the room steward was so nice and the entertainment staff was great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The design and layout of the ship is fantastic. I've been on bigger ships but I prefer the Spirit class. Although it is an extremely clean ship there are definitely signs of wear and tear.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We liked this cabin and it's location so much in March that we booked the same cabin for this trip. The bed is heaven and there is plenty of room for 2. There is ample room for clothing and personal items and the suitcases fit just fine under the bed.

Ship tip

Although the Lido pool with the big screen is nice and can be covered in inclement weather, I would suggest going to either the Serenity or forward pool. Both of them have hot tubs and direct sun for the sun goddesses.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
Didn't go anywhere but a great port to leave from.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
If there were 10 stars I would give it a 10. This island is so beautiful, the sand is like white powder, the water is the most gorgeous shade of blue. By far my most favorite port.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Having been here numerous times and only seeing the port area and Atlantis, we decided to take a taxi tour of the island. We met Wellington Williams and his taxi and for $25 a person he took just the 3 of us all over the entire island. We learned things we had not known before. It was a great day.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
This to us is a stay on the ship port. We visited a few shops and then went pool side on the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were in zone 2 with checked bags. We were off the ship by 10:30. No problems except that we didn't want to get off.
