Review summary

The kids had a wonderful time for their first cruise. The next time we travel, we will leave out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale....it seems like you spend so much time sailing you dont get alot of time on the islands.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

We just parked the car here.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Beautiful island....loved swimming in the blue water and playing in the white sand.....I sure hope it doesn't get destroyed by Hurricane Irma.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

4 out of 5
Another great place to visit.....was very disappoined that the cheers program was not honored, as it is a private island owned by Carnival.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
we got off the boat long enough for the kids to pick out a souvenir. The island is so dirty and poor. Our time there did not allow for a trip to the beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Great....we carried our luggage off the boat, so we were literally one of the first few off.

We have been to the beaches several times and to Disney World several times. Our favorite vacation anymore is to take a cruise. I love the islands but seriously we enjoy the sea days almost as much. We try to get involved in most activities and have lots of fun. I think going to 1 island for 7 days can get boring. They don't have as many activities a ship has. We are cruisers from now on!!!

I also love sea days. I'd love to just troll around in the ocean for 7 days and enjoy everything the ship has to offer.

I agree with postewart. I love the sea days. I even look for cruises that have as many as can be squeezed in. Might try a crypto nowhere one day if I can find a 7 day one!

The days cruising to and from the islands we find very relaxing. Enjoy the activities as you please or just relax on deck with a good book. What we love about cruising is we feel totally refreshed after arriving home. 48 days til next cruise, can't wait.

Glad you and your family had a nice time on the cruise. I think you already know how to enhance your next family cruise. Best wishes.

just fly to where u want to go. why waste half your vacation trapped on a boat with 4000 people , and rushed through every stop?
