Review summary

Overall cruise was good. Only issue was the allowing of smoking in the casino. This is a major health hazard and makes it very difficult for a non smoker to participate. Please change your policies to prohibit ALL indoor smoking!!!

I wonder how the casinos on Celebrity manage to stay out of the red. Casino operations are usually a 3rd party. You think they would shut down on Celebrity if losing money. Celebrity bans smoking in the casino at all times.

I'm not a smoker and I hate the smoky smell in the casino so I rarely go in there. BUT, Carnival would lose so much money by making it nonsmoking since it is one of the few places left for smokers to smoke in. I don't like it but I totally understand it.

I don't. Cruise ship loses money. I find ways around Casinos. I'm sure that was the cruise line's intention. Heck, they are doing me a favor, I generally lose money. Thanks smokers!

Wow! On most ships, the casino IS the designated smoking area. And I'm sure smokers struggle with those 12 hour flights. Going to the casino on a cruise ship is a choice. If you don't like the smoke, don't go to the casino.

Can't smoke at all on a 12 hour transpacific flight. I'm sure smokers can last 3 hours in a smoke free ship casino. If you need one, go to a smoking area. Can't do that on a long flight.

I'm no longer a smoker but I have empathy for those who do smoke. I think allowing one place indoors for smokers is not too much to allow and most casinos have some smoking and nonsmoking areas. And to try and reach a balance, Princess designates some times in the casino as non smoking hours. Every other place has been taken away from the smokers. Imagine how difficult it is for smokers on a cruise with so few areas as it is. They can't even smoke in their staterooms any more. It's not an easy habit to quit.

How about on the gangplank? Lol

I too wish the casino was non-smoking, but it is not happening. Gotta have one major smoking area.

Agree 100%. Celebrity bans smoking in the casino. Fail to see why other lines can't.

I would LOVE it if they would ban smoking altogether, especially since I have asthma. I just hate the smoking so much. When I've walked thru the casino to get to a show, my skin stinks, my hair stinks, my clothes stink and it's so gross.
