Review summary

Could have been a great cruise if our premium balcony room was quiet at night. The food was great! Richard in the dining room was fabulous! Calling carnival after the cruise about our noisy sleeping conditions was no help. I'm very upset with there customer service.

Do not stay in room 8237. It may be listed as a premium cabin but is located directly under the galley. Awoke from the noise at 4:30 am everyday. When we complained carnival told me premium doesn't always mean better and if I were a more experienced cruiser I would have known not to pick this room. What terrible customer service. The sad thing is I liked this cruise and cruise often but since the customer service from carnival was so bad I guess I'll choose the other lines.

They should discontinue this stop. It's awful.

You are responsible to pick an appropriate location for your cabin. I've screwed up a couple of times but I can't blame the cruise line for my bad judgement.

What room number? We have an extended balcony booked for November

We had a kid playing a bongo drum in the cabin next to us back in June. It happens but none the less annoying. You can always complain straight to them or call guest services. It doesn't guarantee they'll stop. Some people are just disrespectful. Now if your room was just in a bad location that's your fault(or your travel agents) not the cruise lines.

Moochyb has it right - you have to laugh it off, grab a cocktail and enjoy! For true unwanted distraction, try work

I thinking happens... Our last cruise was with RC in January and I swear this man and woman in the cabin beside us were killing each other. Screamed , cussed and fought the whole cruise. My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed and went out the door!

What was the cause of the noise? If it was because of loud neighbors unless an officer or security also heard it there's nothing that could be done. If was because of position on the ship, such as above the dining room, or just below the Lido deck, a good PVP or TA would of steered you away from the location. The only way Carnival would offer any compensation would be if the problem was within your cabin and maintenance could not fix it after escalating the complaint from the guest services desk to one of the hotel service or ship's environmental officers.

or picked your room better...

Maybe you should have gone to guest services while on the ship to tell them about your room issues.
