Review summary

First off the ship was beautiful. The room was exceptionally clean and taken care of. We loved the balcony room.  The house keeper, Victoria was absolutely amazing and so attentive and kind. She made the experience wonderful.  We also really enjoyed I Putu in the Normande dining room. He treated my family well and joked around making us feel comfortable. The dancing the wait staff did was also amazingly entertaining.  My only complaints are too much time cruising to Grand Turk. That was my fault for not realizing 2 and 1/2 days was a long time to sail. I didn't feel there were enough activities on the boat. We got bored a lot.  I didn't like that the buffets closed during the day and I didn't like the going to the bar for my soda, I got the endless bubbles package and it took forever to get a soda.  My other request is longer times on shore.  But I think you can look for cruises that offer longer shore stays.  So next time I'll look for that. The staff was exceptional.  I would add more activities/shows to cure boredom on multiple cruising days.  And revamp the endless bubbles program. Going to the bar is ridiculous.   Maybe staff could get the drinks for you? That would even be better.  Also buffets should be open throughout lunch time hours so their are more choices.  Thanks!!!!

I agree, well said. We actually like sea days. Sometimes we need a rest from tour after tour each day. yes we could just stay on ship at any port, but don't want to miss what is there, so sea days are nice. Any cruise line or ship, its what you make of it.

error can't enjoy

as far as the time at sea, you do realize you were sailing from baltimore not Miami. it takes time to get there. trust me you do not want the ship flying through the water to get there too much wind you can enjoy your time slow and steady wins the race

As someone that cruised the Pride last year for a total of 28 days, I never noticed the buffet to every be completely closed. Unless something radical has happened the buffet would open a few stations at 5:30am for continental breakfast then by 7am have all the hot selection breakfast including the made to order omelet station and the custom stuffed breakfast burritos at Blue Iguana. Then between 10 & 11am the hot stations one at a time close to clean & switch over to lunch. And if we missed the late risers buffet breakfast we could always get breakfast food (or lunch) in the MDR between 8:30am & 1:30pm at the Seaday Brunch. By 11:30am all the stations are back open along with deli, Blue Iguana Burritos/Tacos, & Guys burgers for the lunch crowd. Parts do close down by 3pm to clean & sanitize for dinner starting at 5pm, but the deli, Guys Burger, and the pizza all remain open. In fact the Pizza counter including ceasar salads and the ice cream machines were available 24/7 for our entire cruise. After dinner wraps up at 9pm they would close. But at 11pm a station would open until 1am with finger foods. As for the Bottomless Bubbles I've never had a problem getting any of the wandering drink servers getting whatever I asked for including mocktails like a 0 proof bellini or a virgin sunrise. When it comes to activities we were always at crossroads over which one to attend because Carnival offers so many. 9am do the arts & crafts or go to morning stumper trivia, 11am go up to the sports deck for the putt-putt challenge or attend 80's name that tune, noon attend the cooking demo or go to the what's ashore talk, 1pm do/watch the Iguana vs Frog mixology contest or go play bean bag toss in the atrium, 3pm laugh at the hairy chest contest or attend the learn to play bocce or join in the connect 4 contest. Evenings were even worst trying to decide on which entertainment to go to first comedy club (5 shows a night), the main theater offering, go to movies at the Seaside Theater on the Lido, head to the piano bar for sing along, catch the cool jazz or rock band in the Red Frog Pub, head to the casino for hit seat slots, chill out on Serenity with wine, or see what the theme of the night is in the dance club.

I think they should do a soda fountain for the bubbles program where you swipe your card

buffets should be open 5am until midnight.
