Review summary
I took my 5 year old and had a good time on Pride. It is a great ship. This our third time on her. I wish Carnival would stop serving cafeteria type food later in the evenings. We chose to have early dining but after we eat and go to shows, the casino and just have a good time, I get hungry. Do you know how annoying it is to only be able to eat pizza? And at that, have to wait in line for a long time for it? I still don't understand why the same food each day is served. The only thing I noticed that did change was the desserts. We enjoyed having ice cream around the clock.
my son absolutely loved Camp Carnival. The staff was so nice to him so kudos to them. The casino was terrible this time. I have never been on a cruise where the casino team hovered over you while playing slots much less seeing the Asian staff helping other asians while on the slots. It was weird.
As as a smoker, it was, at times, hard to find ashtrays and other times an abundance of them in the casino.
i do not enjoy the constant sales pitches while attending certain events. I did not care for the CD Steve, at all either. He was obnoxious. Now three months again, we had Swartz and he was outstanding!
Overall, we had fun, obviously. I was disappointed in a lot of the staff this time. Not as friendly was previous trips on the Pride.
i wish Carnival would stop going to Freeport. It is so industrial and dirty. You own HMC, I suggest making that a two day stay. Baltimore is very limited in the ports to go to. We love the Pride but suggest changing up the itinerary.
