Review summary

I have been on many Carnival cruise lines and this by far was the worst that I have ever experienced. The room and the service was okay but that is were it all ended. The food was with out a doubt horrible on the Lido deck. If you wanted lunch you had to get it by 1:00pm because they shut all the lines down. Then you are left with either a nice greasey hamburger or pizza. Oh I forgot to mention they ration the food as well. If you eat in the dinning room plan on 2.5-3.0 hours in there. Oh on captain night we ordered prime rib. Well if you call a 1/4 inch thick piece of prime rib okay then you be just fine and dandy. This cruise was something me and my wife really needed because we didn't know if she has bone cancer and we still don't. You know when you don't know if this is your last cruise you will ever have with someone that you have been with for 28 years you really want it to be special. Thanks Carnival for making what might be my last cruise horrible for me and my wife. Looks like being a gold member is were we will be signing off at. I am sure I won't get a call on this one from no one.

Ship tip

Worst ship ever. They show flat screens and comes with old tube TV's. Yet they say it ahs been updated! Really???? Ship is really showing it's age.

Never ever had problems with Carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean or Celebrity, js. It is what it is

Sorry about ur wife, but due to the fact that y'all don't know if she has it, I'm going to say she don't. Y'all next vacation next year going to be her best one ever. Tell ur babes be strong & get better.

I was on the same cruise and we experienced excellent service in the dining room, our waiters were very attentive. We had assigned dining a 6 pm, so we had the same table and waiters all week. By the third day they knew what we liked and were able to take care of our needs without asking. They even cut my granddaughter's steak for her. Our room steward was also excellent! We cruised with my daughter and her family and the grandkids were back and forth between rooms and we needed extra towels and bed linen and he dropped everything to take care of our request. On the lido deck the buffet lines are OK, but you have Guy's Burgers and the Deli was excellent, pastrami and corned beef are exceptional! Also, the sea day brunch in the dining room is wonderful. Sorry your experience was not good, but it may have been over shadowed by the uncertainty of your wife's health. Hope you get answers soon and it is good news!

So sorry about your wife's health issue. Hopefully you will hear Good News very soon. Sorry also this cruise did not live up to your expectations. I believe all cruise lines (not just Carnival) are cutting back on their services and quality. Lastly, this forum site is NOT monitored by individual cruise lines, so you will not get a call back, based strictly on this review.

I'm sure carnival did not set out for you to have such a horrible cruise I hope and pray for your wife's wellbeing and that she will be able to make another cruise. just like anything else there is a hit and miss when it comes to vacation cruises etc

Sorry to hear about your wife. But a cruise or anything in life is what you make it.. I'm sure you still made good memories even if the food sucked.. A positive outlook can change any experience
