Our Carnival Experience

Sail Date: January 25, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is in good condition but the staff was extraordinarily helpful and kind. In the beginning, they had a wheel chair ready for my embarkation. The examination of our documents and passing through security went very smoothly. Once on board, we were shown to our balcony room which was immaculate. Our cabin steward, Michael, was very helpful in securing a needed extension cord for the stateroom. The dining staff in the Normande dining room were excellent. At debarkation, I was wheeled off of the ship without a hitch and retrieving our luggage was a snap. Even the valet was very helpful in loading our luggage into our vehicle. I would and have recommend the Carnival Cruise Line to many friends. I will certainly sail with them again.

Ship Quality
The ship was clean and in good repair.
Food and Dining
The food variety was great and it tasted good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabin was very clean and well maintained.
Service and Staff
All of staff with whom we came in contact were very helpful and kind.
The entertainment was ok, but we are not club type people.
Children's Programs Not applicable
Onboard Activities
There were activities, but we didn't participate in many of them, our choice.
Destinations and Excursions We have been to all of the destinations before, but we like cruising.
Tampa, Florida
Great place, easiest boarding we have ever had.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
We have been there before although it has improved since our last time there.
Belize City, Belize
Stayed on board, visited Belize City before.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
We have been there beef, so we just stayed in the port area and shopped.
George Town, Grand Cayman
We have been there before, but we took an excursion to Hell with Kelly Tours. Our tour guide, Mel McCoy, was a great guide and gave us some terrific information. He interacted well with all of our group.

We loved the "Serenity Deck" for sitting out, bagging some rays and watching people.
