Carnival Pride

7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 04, 2006

Ship: Carnival Pride

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Reviewed: 14 years ago

Review summary

The ship wasn't as big as I thought it would be. The ceilings were really low in most of the areas on the ship and the color-scheme was very dark. Both contributed to a very closed-in feeling that I have not gotten on other ships.

The showtime performers were not that good. They didn't look very professional, and we actually left 2 shows in the middle because we were bored.

Chico's Paradise was a must see -- there is a lot to do there such as eat, hang glide among the trees and swim.

There wasn't must to see at this port. I would highly suggest going over to Stone Island and doing the ATV tour. It was a ton of fun.

This area is gorgeous. We went snorkeling and then to Lover's Beach. We had a great day until it was time to get back into the boat at Lover's Beach -- it was very difficult and 3 people ended up with cuts and bruises.
