Carnival Pride

7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)

Sail date: March 19, 2006

Ship: Carnival Pride

Cabin type: Inside

Reviewed: 18 years ago

Review summary

The ship's decor was inappropriate for children. We decided to bring our children with us this time and were pretty surprised to see the ship decorated in Italian Renaissance decor. That meant a lot of nudity all over the walls and even in the elevators. Very bad choice for a "Fun Ship".

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent. Not a lot of variety, but what was served was very tasty. Midnight buffet was terrible though. It didn't compare by any means, to any of the other midnight buffets we've attended.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Entertainment was awful and there were not enought activities planned. They really "pushed" the tours and we could see why...because you were bored silly onboard.

Children's Programs

Very disappointed in the "Camp Carnival" activities. The entire reason we sailed carnival was because it's supposed to be the way to go when you cruise with children. I disagree totally. There wasn't anything better onboard, or planned, than any other cruise line we've traveled on.

Ship Quality

We had no problem with the size or layout of ship. Just the decor. The ship was extremely well maintained. Very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom
