Review summary

My very first cruise experience was amazing! Carnival is amazing and had a whole lot to offer. All the food was delicious, and the activities were pretty fun, (though Deal or No Deal leaves something to be desired). I'm already looking forward to the next cruise. In fact, we're already making plans for next late spring or late fall

Embarkation

Pretty simple. They even let us check in earlier than our assigned check-in time

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Amazing! Not one complaint about any of the food, or the restaurants. Everything was so delicious, and the service provided by the restaurants were amazing. The only downside were the wait times for getting our food in Vista Restaurant. But with how many people dine in there daily, it's understandable and not really a problem.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So much to do! So much so, that if someone were to say they got bored during this cruise, I'd have to call them crazy. There was so much to do, that I couldn't even get the chance to do everything I wanted

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service on the ship was amazing. My attendant, Imade, was top notch. Greeted me every morning in the halls, very hospitable, always went the extra mile cleaning the rooms, and just an overall pleasure to interact with. Pretty much, all of the staff was like this, but Imade stood out the most, for me.

Ship Quality

The layout could get confusing, especially when you ended up on a floor with no thru-way to your destination. The elevator system is something that could use improvement, though

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size was perfect for me, since I had it to myself. Kept very clean, and the bed was very comfortable

Ship tip

Study the decks before booking your room. There are some rooms that are right above or below bars, so nighttime, you may get some music playing around you

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Had fun here, but our excursion started with a 1 mile walk in the heat and humidity, to our boat, which led to me being tired through most of the excursion. Other than that, pretty fun

Mazatlan, Mexico

Had fun doing Salsa and Salsa! Also, despite the aging infrastructure, thought this area was beautiful

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Didn't have much time to spend here, unfortunately. Had enough time to look around and eat, and that was it. The people here are pushy when it comes to trying to get people to buy things or tip
