Review summary

It was our first cruise, and I will have to admit that we are officially hooked! I can't wait to plan the next one and look forward to having our adult kids come as well to share the experience with us.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Waiting in line was a stretch. Especially seeing other cruisers there ahead of their times arrival appointments, which made the lines incredibly long.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet was not the best, very cold food. The specialty restaurants were top notch. The main dining room was a bit crowded, and the wait time was pretty extensive. Overall, the experience was great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were crowded, Surprising how the smoking sections were always full. They should add another smoking area, or at least extend the smoking sections to accommodate those that do smoke.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There needs to be more comedy showings, as every night it was at capacity and we never got the chance to experience it, even when we were 30 minutes early, we still could not get in because the show before, guests stayed for the next show and others could not enter for the next upcoming show.

Children's Programs

We did not bring kids on this trip

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was amazing! Teguh was always on top of it, and he always greeted us each day by name. He was a delight to have.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean. The staff was always ahead of the game. If something spilled, or needed attention, they were there in a flash to handle the situation. It was so cool to see how detailed they were to make sure that the ship was always up to par.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved the bed! Wow! I have never slept so well. My husband always has hard times, but not on this trip. The size and comfort was very cozy. The shower was back and forth when it came to the water temp but that is to be expected. As for the TV service, it would be nice if there was a few more TV channels, when we had down time, it really made it boring because there was absolutely nothing to watch. Even the movies ON DEMAND was so basic and did not have a good list of genres to pick from.

Ship tip

Take it all in. 7 days actually goes by really fast. Don't be surprised if you do not get to do everything. Take your time, there is no rush. Seriously. Greet and say hi to people, this will be your cruise family, and people do make friends. And one last thing, relax and have fun.

Disembarkation

It was very fast. My only concern was the muster station calls. it was very slow, and they only announced two muster stations before staff physically came to our muster station and told us to go ahead and start disembarking before our muster station was even called. They even told those that had checked bags to disembark with our muster station. I will say it went really fast though, possibly 15 minutes from leaving our muster station and out of the ship and through customs. So overall, it was excellent for us, but may have been a headache for others that did not get through so easily.
