Review summary

Carnival Panorama is a beautiful ship with lots to do and great shore tours. We use both Carnival's shore tours and shore tours. Both are top notch. Food is really good in regular dining room and they are the only cruise line that serves free lobster tail and prime rib on formal night. The shows now use Broadway people to do the Broadway shows and they are excellent. Love this itinerary!

Long lines, several hoops to jump through

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Carnival has the best food, of all the cruise lines, in their main dining room. They are the only cruise line that offers free lobster tails and prime rib in their main dining room on formal nights. All the others charge extra fees.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
game shows, animal towel folding, sky ride, mini golf, corn hole, table tennis, pool table, board games, card games

Entertainment

5 out of 5
family comedians were very funny, Broadway shows were excellent

Children's Programs

no children with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
wait staff was normal service, even in the specialty restaurants. Did not go beyond. Cabin steward went beyond with their service. Made a birthday cake out of towels with light that blinked. Happy Birthday note written on mirror covered the entire mirror. Kept room clean and new towel animal every day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The jogging track is on the top deck, outside, with 360 degree view of the ocean as you jog.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have had larger cabins on other cruise lines with walk in closets, so I was worried we could not fit everything in the small closet. Tip: bring lots of extra wire hangers, instead of using their big bulky ones (shove those under the bed) and everything will fit in the closet!

Ship tip

JiJis restaurant is really unique with the way they serve their menu. Guys burgers for lunch, Mexican burritos/tacos for breakfast

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

We have been on this itinerary 7 times, this ship 3 times. Great shore tours here

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
Highly recommend Rhythms of the Night shore tour. Boat ride to private island, fancy dinner on beach, Cirque du Soleil type show in the jungle, boat ride back to ship. Done this 3 times so far and will do it again!

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
Loved Deer Island Kayaking tour. No people trying to get you to purchase anything. Soft sandy beach, water taxi, lunch on beach and all day guide included.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Loved the Electric bike tour. Best part was on the beach. Crashed 3 times but no one got hurt because you are provided with helmet, knee & elbow pads and goggles. It is a small group guided ride. Includes delicious lunch

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
used the carry your own bags off the ship for an early flight. Tons of people used this method so the line was really long. Tip: put your bags in line really early and then go have breakfast. Facial recognition to go through customs so it is really fast.

I agree that the Blue Iguana breakfast burritos are the best!!! Great way to start the day!

Great review! Really nice to see & hear all the compliments. We sail Panorama in 4 days and couldn't be more excited after originally booking this cruise in 2018.
