Review summary

We love the Mexican Riviera and the Carnival Panorama. We have sailed with them twice this year and I'm sure at least once next year.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Very good. There was about an hour delay for some reason, but all went well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved the variety in the MDR. Excellent service! Also, we really liked Guys Burger joint and the Pig and Anchor.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots to do. We used the hot tubs and the walking track as well as the exercise equipment. Never lacked for things to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved Soulbound and the Rock and Broadway shows. Saw one comedian. He was good but the second performer was a no-show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding service all around!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Big ship! I would have designed it a bit differently, but we enjoyed it once we learned our way around

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice and clean, comfortable beds. Size was a bit small for me, but we loved the 2 "bathrooms" and the sofa.

Ship tip

Don't try to do too much. Get some naps in. My favorite thing are Guys Burgers and the Pig and Anchor. Always attend the formal nights in the Main dining room. Meet a few new people.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

4 out of 5
Port is fine. Could use a more modern building, but I guess it works.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
Lots of fun. We went to Cabo Wabo and ate and drank. Too many people trying to sell you jewelry, fishing trips and pictures of their iguanas. I may stay on board next time.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
We took a city tour with Pulmonia Tours. Awesome day with Freddie and Victor! Sights, sounds, food and Music!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Only left the ship briefly at PV on this trip. I've been there many times and it's safe and fun. Lots to do!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
DEbarkation always seems a bit of a slog but that's normal will all cruise lines. We waiting in a restaurant. Very comfotable.

Great review! I hope to do that cruise at least once a year for the rest of my life. I disagree about the cruise terminal though. The Spruce Goose dome is a landmark and the best cruise terminal I've been in.
