Review summary

All in all, this a very good 7 night cruise that our family enjoyed. Be ready to spend some money for extra activities, restaurants and extra tips for your assigned staff.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Very crowded, computers went down which caused a 45 minute delay to an already long process to get on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
5 stars go out to the crew and staff. Some of food was excellent while some dishes were just okay.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty to do for everyone! We enjoyed just hanging out in the Havana lounge area (with a more private pool/hot tub/bar) but also had fun watching the grandkids enjoy the SkyRide, mini-golf, dancing, build-a-bear workshop, kid's pool/slides, and kids club.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great stage and game shows!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The grandkids really enjoyed the kid's club activities and on board kids activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding staff; everyone make an effort to ensure our safety, comfort and enjoyment. We felt as though our dinning room and stateroom staff catered solely to us. Our cruise director was well connected with guests and made it a fun time.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Not once did I enter a space that needed attention. I'm particular about restroom facilities. They were so well kept

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Would have liked a bit more room to sit and relax, but a nice cabin overall. Good room to stow away luggage and clothing.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

We started our cruise at this port.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
We visited Yalapa and enjoyed a hike through the town and up to the waterfall. Beware of going into the pool at the bottom of the fall; logs fell from the top and skimmed the head of a child. The food at the beach was great!

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
This was my favorite of the three ports. We had a private tour guide who took us to the Cathedral, shopping district and a few of the more authentic spots of the town.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
My least favorite of the three ports was Cabo. A bit more upscale and tourist driven. We went to a restaurant called The Office. The food was excellent, but on the expensive side. We couldn't enjoy the view of the beach for the rows of vendors along the restaurant.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No issues; easy and fast.
