Review summary

We were a little let down by the Panorama. We’ve sailed the Vista (pre-Covid) and it just seemed to be an overall better experience.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We arrived at our scheduled time but then waited about 40 minutes in line in the terminal. It was warm in line but the Carnival employees were very nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We only ate once in the Main Dining Room. Our service was very slow and our food was subpar. The breakfast buffet was ok but not a lot of selection. The bars were good. Besides the MDR, all service was great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Due to Hurricane Kay, the pools were only open three days. We used the Havana pool which is nice. Also due to Kay, a lot of activities like trivia were packed. The crew still made it fun.

Entertainment

Did not attend

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
We don’t have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The highlight of the trip was the service. Everyone was very attentive.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very, very clean. However, the furniture in our stateroom was beat up. Two of the three closet doors were broken and one closet rod was gone.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was very clean and Dewa did an excellent job. We’ll probably do just a Havana balcony next time as the soot is quite bad.

Ship tip

It is a party boat

This went pretty quickly. Highly recommend getting a porter as it gets you out quicker.

Appreciate your feedback. Glad you managed to mostly enjoy your in spite of the hurricane. Post-Covid cruises is still not back to baseline.

So interesting how experiences can vary, but it really sounds like you made the most of it! We found the food in MDR on Panorama to be the best of any cruise, I think it was our waitstaff that made it so good in terms of getting it out hot every time so we requested the same team every night.
