Review summary

Cruise was packed close to 100% capacity. But Carnival gave this cruise to us for taxes and port fees. We couldn’t resist and this cruise put us into Platinum level on our next cruise. We have learned how to stay away from crowds at food joints. The smart elevators were very efficient and fast. Casino computer system was down the second night and saved me $. The panorama is a nice ship and I would sail on her again if she moves to the Caribbean. We are beach bums and the Pacific along Mexico are just to cold for us. But this cruise was very relaxing and any cruise is great. Positive attitude leads to a positive vacation.😎

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good. We liked the split up buffet areas and food was very good. Dining room was slow service and food was good. We opted for other restaurants after second evening. Blue iguana, Guys and Pizza were very good. Pizza was backed up a few times. Once I just sat down and ordered via phone and had it delivered way quicker than the line. Well worth the $6. Fourth day on they were making pizzas as quick as they could and had slices ready after a short wait.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We relaxed most of the time and did not participate in the few activities they had

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedians were top notch. We went to at least one show everyday. I enjoyed talking to the comics pre show and one even used a joke I gave him. We did not go to any other shows besides comedians

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we ran into was pleasant and working hard.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was shining and clean

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a ocean view on the front of the ship. This was only are second time not having a balcony. There was a walkway outside our balcony, but we were ready for that. We brought a sheer curtain that we held up with magnets. The room was comfortable but my biggest complaint was there is no couch or chairs in that class of room. So sitting on bed to watch a movie was hard on our backs. I also requested a fan for the first time and they showed up quickly with one and asked if room tempature was okay. Which it was, I just wanted some air movement and white noise.;I will also say the cooler worked well. But I always have cooled my sodas etc the night before the cruise in a hotel fridge.

Ship tip

We always bring some car air fresheners and put one in the ceiling vent and one in the bathroom.
