Review summary

At the time I wasn't a huge fan of the new ship. There wasn't a lot of cleaning or disinfecting happening and covid was becoming a major concern. I got really sick for 2 days to the point I couldn't leave the room. Furthermore I love the over the top elegant elevators and decor of the previous ships and the panorama just felt very compact like everything had been made smaller to fit more things in. The crew wasnt friendly at all and I actually overheard a bartender making a whale watching joke calling the passengers whales. I let carnival Corp know about the issues onboard after we got home. I had zero interest in sailing on panorama again.. but then Covid shutdowns began shortly after we returned.. absence has definitely made my memories fonder lol I can't wait to get back onboard. From what I've seen online the new crew is amazing, the ship is kept squeaky clean and with reduced capacity I think it's going to be a great experience all around. Fingers crossed for a better experience this time around!

Everything was smooth and great until they had us wait in a holding area for about an hour :/ Wouldn't have been as bad if there was water or vending machines but there was nothing to eat or drink.

I find it so out of line for someone to get in their feelings about someone else's review of their own experience. Cruise lines BENEFIT from feedback, good or bad. No need to invalidate anyone's reviews. Be a grownup. Jesus.

Pretty sure I was on that cruise and had a great time it was the last cruise since Covid.We stayed in the Havana section and it was perfect.No complaint here.

For anyone who is upset I gave an honest review saying I didn't have a good experience with certain aspects and said I was hoping for a better experience next time, the cruise and crew this review is on is from 2020. Not the current crew. Like I already said in my review I've heard the new crew is great and that it's nice and clean now which is why I booked again. Long beach/ LA is also my homeport so it's convenient for a quick get away. This was my first and only bad experience with carnival so there's no need for people to get up in arms and defensive for a 4 star review lol

i was on panorama last week and it was spotless. double spotless. crew was fantastic top to bottom. pushing 30 cruises and i have never heard a crew member joke about a guest on a ship and i have seen some that deserved it. myself probably included. the elevators on the ship suck. no way to sugarcoat the way they work. i will try not to book a ship with those on it in the future but different matter. frankly i don’t believe you. no evidence other than my experience and your self righteous attitude

Glad my October 2021 trip had 5 star staff, and surprised that they made passenger jokes in English. But I do agree that they made things more compact to squeeze in more rooms and other stuff.

Like I said the bartender was making fat jokes about the passengers. Was it their fault they were overweight? They had no interaction with the staff involved they were swimming and having a good time thankfully they didn't hear his cruel comments. It's sad you take such a syndical victim blaming stance. I personally am always courteous, friendly and kind because my mother raised me right but I don't condone bullying and I have zero regrets for reporting it.
