Review summary

A lot of fun! One of my favorite trips yet! Traveled with a group of 10 who enjoyed having the drink package! Larry @ the tides pool was amazing, along with Camilo who walked around getting drunk orders! Walter was the best server, too!

Embarkation

Super smooth! Got to the port and someone took our luggage right away. Customs was super quick and easy. Our boarding time was scheduled for 12:30-1:30. We got there at about 11:20 and by 11:50 we were on the ship!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Pretty average. Everything was good, but nothing to really rave about except Guys Burger, Blue Iguana Cantina, and the Melting Chocolate Cake at dessert!

Service and Staff

Our waiter, Walter, was the absolute best! Knew us and our drink orders after one dinner together! Played along with our jokes at dinner, too! Larry at the tides pool was wonderful to talk to and was a super nice man. Our room steward, Anthony, was always super happy and made us laugh every time we say him! He often gave us high fives and would say “raise the roof!” Camilo got our drink orders back at the tides pool when we were sitting in our chair and he always knew to bring a bottle of water for one of us. Super nice people!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had 4 people in the cabin together, so it was a little crowded. Beds were comfortable and the cabin itself was pretty clean. On the last sea day a few of us were in the room and saw little kid handprints on the door and smudges by the door peephole (I was the youngest in the cabin at 17 so it wasn’t from us). Other people in our group stayed in room 8402 and when steaming their clothes found that if they steamed the mirror they could see a message written, showing that the mirrors weren’t cleaned as they should. We Lysol and Kleenex the room when we first get there so at least we know there’s nothing too bad. Compared to our bathroom on NCL last year, this one was cramped and small but it got the job done. Was a simple walk every morning to the tides pool and heard no noise at night unless on the balcony.

Ship tip

Make sure to eat at Guys Burger at least once, along with ordering a Melting Chocolate Cake at dinner!

Smooth as well. We carried our luggage off the ship and took the bus excursion Carnival has back to LAX for about $30 a person. Everyone getting off the ship for this waited in the Casino until we were allowed to get off.

Just was on the Panorama in January and it was cool in the evenings so if I was you take a light jacket or sweater.
